Is 91 a normal blood glucose level after eating?
The other day I had a blood test to see if i was hypoglycemic but my doctor said it’s okay to eat because I feel faint in the mornings when I don’t. He said it won’t really affect the test. So I had two egg whites, half a sausage, a slice of cheddar cheese, and water. The results for my glucose test came back as 91. Did the breakfast affect the results? I had breakfast at 8:30 and took the blood test at 9:10. Wouldn’t it take a while for the food to digest?
With what you had for breakfast it wouldn’t raise your glucose level. Everything you had was low in carbs.

In fact that is not a blood glucose level after eating yet. It will take up to 2 hours to measure it.
But, I would say your figures are very good, and don’t think you might have diabetes.
For your fainting symptoms, try to eat regular meals, at least three times a day. Never go out with empty stomach in the morning. It’s better to eat the breakfast and lunch in time. For dinner, try not to eat too much to avoid disturb when sleeping and not to gain weight.
It’s also good to include all type of foods in your daily menu to have the right energy. Although you might not be a diabetic, you should be careful on high calories and refined foods, because they will prepare the way to diabetes. What is more you may gain weight.
If you follow the right eating strategy, you have nothing to worry about.
Best wishes.
