HYPOGLYCEMIA????????????????????????????
lately my hands and my feet have been really cold. My parents noticed that and he said that could be something to do with hypoglycemia. I just read about it and it doesn’t mention those symptoms and it talks about people 25 or older(I’m 16 by the way). My parents say i might have this because I don’t eat at the right time( like I eat at 6-7, and then at 11 again) and also because I barely drink milk. Is that true?????
Probably not. You might be getting cold hands and feet because you have poor circulation to your extremities. Hypoglycemia is becuase of low blood sugar concetration and you can get it if you don’t eat for a long time. but if you are not diabetic this shouldnt be a problem since your body will release gluocse into the blood when you are low in blood sugar. so eating at 6-7 would not be the problem even if you eat lunch at like 11am becuase you are not a diabetic i assume and you are kind of young to have dibetes although that is changing. As for milk, i highly doubt it. Milk has a form of sugar called lactose but that is not the main source of sugar your body intakes, So if you are not feeling weak and nausea , then you probably are not hypoglycemic.

ok if your hands are cold a lot you have poor blood flow in them. and i’m guessing ur parents aren’t doctors because it doesn’t matter when u eat its what you eat hypoglycemia is low blood sugar and milk would not cause it. dont listen to them they are totally wrong and for the cold hands u may want to go to a doctor to see if you have poor blood flow cold hands can also be cause by stress so if ur stressed a lot that might be the cause

Hypoglycemia isn’t really age-specific. It can be caused by a number of things. I’m only 21 and I have episodes where my blood sugar drops. It’s mostly because I don’t eat enough food often enough so my body doesn’t always get enough energy. I’ve never heard of that being a symptom either. I get cold hands and feet but that is because of another condition I have.
